Local Audition Notice
City Theatre Company announces Equity Principal Auditions for its 2010 -2011 Season.
Audition dates are as follows:
Thursday August 12, 2010 (10am-6pm)
Friday August 13, 2010 (10am-6pm)
Lunch Break: 1pm-2pm (both days)
Auditions will take place in the second floor rehearsal room at City Theatre Company located at 1300 Bingham Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15203.
The auditions will be conducted by City Theatre Company’s Artistic Director, Tracy Brigden and Assistant to the Artistic Director, Ashley Beckham.
Auditions are for Equity male and female actors. Those auditioning should prepare a contemporary or dramatic monologue, not to exceed 3 minutes. Please remember to bring one copy of a headshot and resume stapled together.

Equity Members without appointments will be seen throughout each audition day, as time permits.

- Annabella Schmidt/Margaret/Pamela: Female, 20’s-40’s, plays all 3 roles, various accents, Russian spy, Scottish crofter, and love interest
- Clown 1: Male, 20’s-50’s, plays various roles such as: policeman, spies, and villains

- A: Female, 50’s-60s’ plays The Ape, Dorothy, Cleva, and The Baby- Actress plays all characters including Cleva, the elderly speaker of an almost extinct Russian dialect.
- B: Female, 40’s plays Brodie, a successful professional linguist, pregnant, at the height of her career.
- C: Female, 20’s plays The Zoo Goers, Rhiannon, Evelyn, Dre, and Gloria- Actress plays all characters including Dre, a young graduate student and the girlfriend of Brodie, and Evelyn, the daughter of Cleva.
