City Theatre presents Luke Macfarlane in the world premiere Sam Bendrix at the Bon Soir by Keith Bunin. Under the direction of Mark Rucker and music direction of Douglas Levine, Sam Bendrix plays on City Theatre’s Lester Hamburg Studio Stage from November 12 – December 18, 2011 with an Opening Night / Press Night Performance on Friday, November 18 at 8pm.
The drinks and the music flow at the legendary Bon Soir. In 1958 Greenwich Village, a young singer and his band take the stage for a final performance before he quits New York City forever. While a chair he’s holding for a special someone sits empty all night, Sam Bendrix tells a classic tale of an era not yet ready for the revolutionary changes on the horizon.
Sam Bendrix at the Bon Soir features Luke Macfarlane as Sam Bendrix. The design team includes Tony Ferrieri (Scenic), Angela M. Vesco (Costume), Andrew David Ostrowski (Lighting), and Brad Peterson (Sound).

Tickets
$35 to $60
Students and age 25 and younger may reserve $15 tickets in advance (student tickets to Fridays at 8 pm and Saturdays at 5:30 pm are only available for rush purchase two hours before showtime).
Seniors (age 60 and older) may purchase $22 rush tickets at the Box Office beginning two hours before showtime.
Student and senior tickets prices are subject to availability.
Groups of 10 or more are eligible for discounts.
