The Brothers Size, by Tarell Alvin McCraney - an exciting new voice in American theatre - received rave reviews in New York and London; Charles Spencer of Telegraph said of the London production that it is "one of those rare theatrical moments that genuinely raise the hairs on the back of the neck."

McCraney began work on The Brothers Size while a playwriting student at the Yale School of Drama, where a fellow student handed the script to one of the producers of the Under the Radar festival - the annual New York City festival that spotlights international artists ranging from emerging talents to masters in the field. The show was hugely successful with critics and audiences alike, with The New York Times praising the "beautiful music of a new voice." With this initial success, the play went on to premiere at New York City's Public Theater in association with the Foundry Theatre, and was later produced at the Young Vic in London.

The Brothers Size tells the story of Ogun Size, the hardworking owner of a car repair shop in the Louisiana bayou, and his brother Oshoosi Size, just out of jail and happily aimless. When Oshoosi's ex-con buddy Elegba shows up, the Size boys clash in this sharply funny, emotionally charged play about the tenuousness of freedom and the bond between brothers. Ogun Size is being played by Albert Jones (A Raisin in the Sun - Hartford Stage), Oshoosi will be played by Jared McNeill (She Like Girls - Lark Theatre), and, as Elegba, Pittsburgh native Joshua Elijah Reese (Flight - City Theatre).

Tarell Alvin McCraney holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Theatre School at DePaul University and a Master of Fine Arts in playwriting from the Yale School of Drama. He is International Writer in Residence at the Royal Shakespeare Company (2008–10) and the recipient of a seven-year residency at New Dramatists. McCraney's latest play, Wig Out!, opened recently in New York to wide acclaim with the New York Times heralding McCraney as an "astonishing young dramatist."

The design team for The Brothers Size includes Tony Ferrieri (Scenic), Christian DeAngelis (Lighting), Angela M. Vesco (Costumes), and Joe Pino (Sound).
