Why Give to the Annual Fund? New plays are risky but essential. For 51 years, City Theatre has identified, commissioned, and produced New Plays that capture the tenor of society and tell the unique stories of contemporary life, and City Theatre continues to be a national leader in shaping the field. However, ticket sales account for less than 25% of our annual budget – the rest comes from a generous network of community contributors. We rely on the support of these donors so that artists have the opportunity to create freely and boldly. YOU help make new work possible.
